This unique little bungalow was built in the traditional way, using stones for the outside walls; ravnals , a local material for the internal walls and a traditional thatched pitch roof.

The bungalow is well-proportioned and well equipped. The fact that the pitched roof is high means that it is very much cooler than a block and concrete cons truction. This bungalow is ideal for those who would like to spend a holiday in a bungalow situated on the beach, as the bungalow itself is 70 meters from the edge of the sea. The bungalow has three bed rooms, two with double beds and one with bunk beds. For a larger family there is an additional nook area with other bunk beds. The main bed room has a direct access to the garden and has a bath room en-suite. The other bed rooms share the other bath room. There is a covered veranda at the back with a dining table and also a set of four relaxing chairs.
The veranda overlooks a large garden with lush lawns and a large old badamier tree which provides welcome shade during the summer months. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, fridge and all the essentials.There is a washing machine for every day washing.
The bungalow is serviced daily, and the maid is available to do some cooking if the client wishes. All the rooms are fitted with a ceiling fan for your comfort. The roof is constructed in the old style without a ceiling as we know it in modern construction. The reason was that it allowed for cross ventilation between the rooms as there was no electricity in those days and it kept the inside cool in summer. One can appreciate the intricate work of the thatch cover. The living area is separated from the living quarters with a high wall that goes to the underside of the thatched roof, the bed rooms have open ceilings, with walls not going to the underside of the roof. The bungalow/Villa is a cosy family bungalow which is on the same property. (Sleeps 7adults, additional cot or bed is available on request)
The bungalow/Villa is situated 50 meters from the beach; access to the beach is through its own pathway leading on to the beach. It has a patio in front of the veranda and a private piece of garden with a braai area equipped with a barbecue (Webber)
Activities: swimming, kayaking, cycling or walking and jogging. The enormous lagoon, protected by a coral reef, is safe for swimming, snorkelling and perfect for young children. The beach offers white sand, clear turquoise water and an exceptional swimming area at both high and low tides. Please bring your own snorkelling/diving equipment.
CATERING The housemaid will cook a simple lunch for you.(a menus is provided on request to facilitate your selection of meals)We offer a shopping service , ask us for details. We offer one welcome meal on your arrival and a continental breakfast the next morning, for a stay of 10 nights or more.
GROCERY STARTER PACK A starter pack comprising tea bags, instant coffee, milk, sugar, bottled water, bread, butter, jam, toilet paper and soap to start you off is provided for your convenience in the bungalow when you arrive. Our local taxi is available to take you shopping to stock up on your first morning.
DAILY SERVICING The bungalow is serviced from 09H00 – 13H00. Sheets are changed every third morning and towels every second day. Washing and ironing of personal laundry is included in our tariff.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS We can provide for transfers, quote on request. We can assist with sightseeing tours, catamaran/boat trips, restaurants, etc.
